Chicago Magazine Names The Conservation Center "Best Art Restorer"

The Conservation Center is pleased to have been named “Best Art Restorer” in the August 2015 issue of Chicago Magazine! The “Best of Chicago” is an annual, exhaustively researched list compiled by Chicago’s editors and contributors. This year, 72 superlative services, shops, and activities in the Chicago area—in addition to 46 Readers' Choice award winners voted on by Chicago readers on chicagomag.com—were published. The Conservation Center was honored with a “Best of” within the Art Services category.

Founded in 1983, The Conservation Center originally workedonly in paintings conservation, but with the acquisition of many talented conservators in different disciplines, in addition to expanded and enriched facilities, we now provide conservation services in 10 different departments ranging from antiques and fine furniture to works of art on paper. In addition to conservation, The Center also offers disaster response, shipping and installation, fine art storage, art transportation, and custom framing services for our clients.

“We have been so proud to serve the art community in Chicago and beyond for over 30 years,” commented Heather Becker, CEO of The Conservation Center. “We thank all involved for this celebration of our services and field of conservation, and hope this distinction will not only highlight the years of dedication and outstanding service put forth by our expert staff, but also the value and critical importance of art conservation to preserving the culture and history in all artistic mediums.”
