Conserving Art Coast to Coast
In 2009, The Center expanded its services to include fine art storage. We provide solutions for clients who require temporary storage for collections during home renovations, long-term storage for collections that have sustained damage from fire, flood or natural disasters, or for rotational purposes. The Center’s storage facility is a newly renovated, state of art warehouse with over 20,000 square feet of space. Our facility features a security system with controlled entry access and direct links to the fire department, an HVAC climate controlled system, bi-level vaults, and a barcode inventory system for tracking the location of all objects in storage.
Our storage facility is managed by our in-house team of trained and experienced art handlers who assist with on location inventory, packing, crating, and shipping, as well as transportation and installation needs. As artwork can be damaged as a result of improper storage, our qualified art handlers work closely with conservators to ensure each object is safely packed and stored, taking into consideration the condition of each piece of art.
