Hello New York City! Introducing the Art Conservation Shuttle Service

Start spreading the news: The Conservation Center is truly excited to announce a remarkable partnership with Crozier Fine Arts—New York's foremost fine and decorative arts storage and logistics company. Together, we have launched the Art Conservation Shuttle, fully connecting The Center's interdisciplinary conservators in one the nation's largest art conservation labs to our friends and growing client base on the East Coast. New York's art community can now enjoy museum-quality, art conservation services with an efficient turnaround timetable at competitive cost.

“Simon Hornby (President, Art Services at Crozier) and I, who have known each other for many years, have shared the idea for the Art Conservation Shuttle for a long time,” said Heather Becker, CEO of The Conservation Center. “Our business’s respective reputations, from New York to Chicago, are the result of the tremendous effort we have put into the quality of work we do. This is why it is important to both of us, individually and collectively, to make sure we could offer the highest quality of work our clients have come to expect from both The Conservation Center and Crozier Fine Arts.”

This shuttle is the first of its kind to offer collection and delivery of artwork throughout the New York Tri-State area to Chicago specifically for conservation. Our goal is to provide flawless art transport, from a single painting to an entire collection, and to carry out a customized treatment plan of the finest quality within a few short months depending on the scale of the project.

Crozier Fine Arts will consolidate shipments at their New Jersey logistics hub; this will guarantee an impeccable and cost effective transfer to and from locations. Additionally, transport fees have been minimized due to the biweekly, nonstop shuttle between New York and Chicago. The overall advantage is an efficient turnaround for clients at a competitive cost, not to mention the quality of the conservation and logistics is to the highest standards in the industry.

Simon Hornby comments, “We really couldn’t be more excited and pleased with this venture. Heather and I have worked together on a number of large scale insurance projects over the past few years, and we have seen that The Conservation Center has an unrivaled capacity to treat a high volume of works at one time. This means that clients receive their property back far quicker than many studios can accommodate, and with competitive charges.”

As logistics become more integrated, the Art Conservation Shuttle represents the future of art conservation, seamlessly connecting two of the most progressive metropolitan areas in the country and two of the most established art businesses for the first time.
